Throughout the year, KiSP has participated in numerous industry events, conferences, and trade shows, each providing a platform to showcase our latest innovations and connect with thought leaders and professionals from around the world.
These events have been instrumental in expanding our network, fostering collaborations, and gaining valuable insights into emerging trends and challenges within the industry. Our presence at these gatherings underscores our dedication to staying engaged and informed in an ever-evolving landscape.
Our conference season always seems to kick off with NeoCon in Chicago, and this year was no exception. This is the premier furniture design event of the year attracting attendees from around the world for three days of fantastic sessions, keynote and showstopping displays. Our team always looks forward to NeoCon as it’s a great opportunity to connect with the top minds of the industry. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to see what the popular trends in office space design each year are. You can check out our full recap to see what the trends were, but sustainability and adaptability remain top of mind.
The CET experience is another great industry gathering point for our team. We had teams from both KiSP and Yulio attending this year and we got to see some great advancements in the way people are using CET to plan spaces and projects. The CET Experience also includes the CET Awards and this year we had several members submit some stunning designs to the contest and we think there were excellent showcases of the services we offer. While we didn’t have any finalists, these renders were featured at conference in presentation and have been featured by Configura on their social pages, highlighting the great work of our team.
At SIGGRAPH 2024, the excitement surrounding 3D design and rendering powered by AI was undeniable, and for good reason. From digitizing materials to sustainability in data centers, to groundbreaking innovations in AI for 3D modeling, the event showcased the future of design for industries like contract furniture, architecture, and interior design.
Our team members who attended got to see a lot of exciting new technologies and definitely had some highlights that they could see playing a role in both ours and clients businesses.
This year our team from The KITS collaborator attended the HDC + Expo for the second time and we continued to see a lot exciting things happening in this industry. Healthcare is a tricky industry to design in and we are so grateful for these events where we get to connect with others in the industry so we can learn more and bring our visualization and design services to.
EDspaces continues to be an event our team looks forward to attending every year. The conference has some fantastic showcases of educational furniture and really gives a fun glimpse of what of how educational spaces are evolving as educational needs change.
Last June, Gabe Szriftgiser, Managing Partner and KiSP Studio Director, passed away suddenly. Gabe was not only someone who had a vision for KiSP and lead his team with passion, but he was a close friend and mentor to many in the organization.
In the months after, Gabe’s loss can still be felt and the mark he has left on KiSP continues. The partnerships he built and the culture he fostered at the company continue on in the excellent work our team continues to deliver.
We want to thank our clients and colleagues for the support and kind words many of us received when we shared this news. It was touching to see the impact he made in the industry. We know his memory will continue to live on and we will continue to hold his passion and drive in our hearts as we work towards the future of KiSP.
