NeoCon 2025 took place earlier this month and like always this is the standout event of the year when it comes to furniture and design across the industry. We got a chance to see some of the best new products from the top manufacturers in the world. And we got a chance to see it all displayed in gorgeous showrooms.

As always this is a great opportunity to see the current trends on display in person and to get an idea of what the furniture design next year will look like. In this article we want to break down some of the top trends of NeoCon 2025 this year. We hope you take this information into consideration when making your design decisions and when using products and services from KiSP such as The KITS collaborator.

The Pantone Color of the Year on Full Display

It’s always exciting every year to see the color journey at NeoCon and to see what colors are grabbing people’s attention. This year The Pantone Color of the Year was featured heavily across many displays and showrooms. In case you didn’t already know this year’s color of the year is PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse a warm brown, that adds a layer of richness to many different fabrics and finishes.

We saw Mocha Mousse in a variety of different ways at NeoCon 2025, often accompanied by other earthy colors that really made spaces feel calm, inviting, and plush.

Beyond this we did see some other rich colors such as deep purples and greens that also added a comforting nature to a lot of fabric finishes.

Healthcare Furniture on Display at NeoCon 2025

NeoCon always does a great job of showcasing furniture displays in a variety of workplace situations. From conference rooms to break areas, many areas of the everyday office are on display. This year however, our team noticed that several manufacturers had created displays that showcased furniture displays for healthcare environments. They saw displays that showcased waiting rooms, examination rooms, and more.

It's nice to see some more variety in the workplaces on display. There has been a focus on mental health and wellness when it comes to office design, so it makes sense that these focuses can be transferred to healthcare spaces.

Modular Furniture Continues to Trend

Furniture flexibility and adaptability have been trends for the last few years, especially with the rise of hybrid working and reprioritization of office spaces. That trend continues this year, and we especially saw it withing the wide range of modular furniture that was on display.

Most of this modular furniture was for seating with couches and chairs that could be arranged in any way to fit into an office of any size. We thought this was great as it allows for any space to take advantage of these products and they can always change their space by adding or subtracting from these pieces.

Design for Tech Inclusivity

As we mentioned, hybrid work has become a part of office life, and more manufacturers are creating products that can better bridge the digital divide between remote workers and in-office workers. We continue to see products that allow people to take calls in private areas such as work pods. We also continue to see workspaces that create in-office meeting spaces that incorporate technology such as smart displays that allow for easy information sharing and remote conference calls with video.

The Blurring of Spaces in Offices

One final trend we saw was the design of spaces to multipurpose and be more open to the rest of the office. We saw spaces that were designed to both be places to work and relax. With modular furniture that allows a place to make changes on the fly and turn a sitting area into an impromptu meeting area, or a space that allows workers to work collaboratively together rather than separately in cubicles.

Open-floor plan offices aren’t necessarily a new idea, but we continue to see more products being designed to make more spaces flexible and blur the lines between the purpose of each space in a working office.
